Anyone who drives by on I-17 might look and think "what a nice place." But, that is far from the truth, it is horrible. Unfortunately, I signed a long-term lease (what a mistake) and have been anxiously counting down the days so I can move out. When I first moved in, I was told that there was only one report in the last few years of car theft, but they are lying. My car was broken into once and then stolen the next month and the office could care less. I lived on the second floor and could hear the people all around me. A baby would scream his lungs off at 6am right below us and the women adjacent and above us are constantly getting beat up by their men. No matter how many times we've reported this to the office and the police station, nothing was ever done because they are still there. One night at 4 am a drunk person was trying to bang our door down and there have been times when people were shooting guns off their balconys. On two occasions I couldn't even go home because the entrances were block by police cars. The police might as well have a station at the complex since they are always there. I've also seen police taking out drugs from apartments on several occasions. The 20 lb pet rule doesn't matter either, since there are so many pit bulls and large dogs on the property (yikes)...and there is dog poop all over so, watch your step. You might also fix any problems on your own since it takes forever for the office to dispatch a maintenance person, that is if they even place the order. Make sure you keep track of all your phone calls, phone times, and whoever you spoke with...it's the only way to get things done here. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
