My sister and I were apartment hunting last weekend when we noticed a "nice" looking complex in the For Rent Magazine called Woodstone..We thought we would drop by the leasing office and check it out. As soon as we drove in, we saw two patrol cars leaving the property. We thought, okay that happens everywhere in Phoenix. We parked near the rental office and never did find the front door. We found some doors that were painted the same color as the walls but none of them opened. We very nearly missed stepping in a huge pile of dog crap near the sidewalk. We continued to look for the office when we heard a man screaming at the top of his lungs to himself and everything he said was profane and obscene. As I told my sister this complex was vetoed and we were leaving, the car that had parked next to us while we were looking for the door had 10-15 rounds of bullet holes in it and one of the windows were shot out. We went looking elsewhere and we are glad we are still alive to tell about it

I had the same experience. Bullet holes, broken brick as you enter, painting a building burnt down by fire, etc. The staff was very courteous and kind however.

I agree, I lived there 2 years ago. The lady that lived above me had 2 out of control kids whom she left home alone every day. Unfortunate for me, I was working night shift and had to sleep during the day. The little hellions up stairs would stomp around all day and make all kinds of noise. I even woke up one afternoon after hearing a noise on my back porch only to find her kids climbing over my wall and screwing around on my porch. I yelled at them and they sicked their mommy on me later. She didn't understand why I had a problem with her kids making an insane amount of noise and tresspassing on my porch. Management didn't do a damn thing about it just like they didn't do anything when my dishwasher broke. There were constant plumbing problems.
One day a water line broke in the bathroom and created a swimming pool in my bathroom. I called management at exactly 5pm and they told me to keep sopping the water up all night until maintenance went back on duty in the morning. I had to stay home from work just to keep my apartment from being flooded. When they finally did fix it they left a huge hole in the wall and no matter how many times I asked them to fix it they just ignored me. It remained there till the day I moved out.
God that place was a ---- hole. Every time I turned around the police were cruising through the parking lot looking for some dumb ass gang banger or the ghetto bird was flying over with the spot light on the yard behing my apartment. There was constantly new graffiti popping up everywhere. There were alot of thugs living there.
If you don't mind living in the ghetto and being surrounded by crime and drug users the Woodstone apartments is the place for you!
