After reading some of the negative comments above, I thought I might add my own opinions about The Alexan @ FLW. First off, within the last 6 months or so the entire office & maintenanace staff has changed hands. And while it was indeed true that the old Assistant Manager "Valerie" was not often seen with a smile on her face or a pleasant tone in her voice, it seems that the powers that be finnaly recongnized that it was time for a change. The new Assistant is very attentive and helpful. The Manager actually communicates with the residents, its nice to live at a community where the Manager actually returns phone calls, and addresses concerns. Every time I go to the office, I can always count on a happy hello, and a friendly smile.
As for the maintence department... Alexan @ FLW has this 24 hour maintenance hot line. I can actually talk to a live person any time of the day or night. And they are also very freindly, "imagin that". My past maintenance requests have always been responded to immediately and professionaly.
I have to say that my experiance at this community has been nothing but positive, and I would definetly refer it to anyone looking for a upperscale, secure, smaller community to call home. The only downfall I can note is indeed the parking... While all the residents do have private garages and one additional space in front of the garage, If you intend on having more than two guests over, the parking is very limited. "Might want to advise friends to carpool".
