pool noise: What is the problem'

I have been living here for 6 months and I don't understand what all the fuss about the pool noise is. I live directly over the pool and have absolutely nothing to complain about. I don't hear people down there EVER, and I don't hear people next door, or downstairs or anything. The pool is open 24 hrs a day for a reason. What is the point of having access to a pool that residents are too scared to use for fear of getting complained about' People at the pool should be respectful of quiet hours, but other should understand that being at the pool after dark is our right as residents.
