I've lived at the Overlook for 4 years. I have never had a negative experience here. I know my neighbors because Stacy, the awesome manager who unfortunately recently left, would hold monthly Pot Lucks and Movie Nights, as well as annual End-of-Summer BBQ/Pool Party. Everyone in the leasing office are professional, upbeat, and just great. The maintenance staff are on top of things. The grounds are kept tidy (and I've never been woken up by leaf blowers in my four years here). I did come across a couple of scorpions. This was only during the time when Mountainside Fitness and the Aliante Apts were being built. Therefore, that was to be expected. However, the office staff took extra measures in calling pest control to prophylactically treat the situation. All of my appliances were clean and in perfect working conditions when I moved in. The pool is always clean, and so are the laundry rooms. Yes, it's $10 for covered parking, but mine is right in front of my apartment, and the rent is affordable, so you don't even miss the $10. My daughter always loves the fact that the office aways has fresh-baked cookies and lemonade or juice, and they always let her have one. There's a computer and fax machine in the office that they will let you use, too. I've lived in a few apartments, and I have never had such a pleasant experience. Oh, and I'm in my 30's and as far as all the "young kids in their 20's" well, I never see them. Only a few. There are a lot more 30 and older couples that live here.
