I moved here in August 2005 and fell in love with the area and I am just 10 minutes from work. Speaking of work they give a preferred employer discount which was an added bonus. I have never had any problems here. My apartment does not have any mold and I have yet to see a scorpion but remember we live in the desert-duh! I did get ants a while back but they quickly disappeared and only stayed for a short time. I have seen and heard of other apartments having the same problem(new/old apartments-luxury and not). So far no problems with any of the appliances-carpet was new when I moved in and the tile as well. I haven't seen the police here but once and that was at the office during the day. So far no problems with any break-ins or car theft. The only problem I have had is my downstair neighbor with his music. It got pretty bad for awhile and I did go to the office 3 times to complain. I am not sure what happened but lately he has been quiet-he used to play his stereo loud late at night during the week and I have to be up at 4:30 am so you can guess how happy I was with that. It took awhile to straighten out but now everything is ok. I do like the fact they have the courtsey patrol which I have used when the downstairs neighbor was being loud. I do feel safe here and can't really say anything negative. I have gotten two letters stating I was entitled to a refund that I had overpaid when I moved in. So it does seem that management is attentive to details. All in all I am happy with my one bedroom-I find it cozy and don't forsee moving any time soon.
