HORRIBLE WORKMANSHIP; UNCARING MANAGEMENT! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 6/2/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   If you like to sleep then DO NOT RENT HERE! It is 12:50 am and I was awaken to a very loud and disturbing noise which is the plumbing! I thought it was my upstairs neighbor but I discovered it was my neighbors behind me, both upstairs and downstairs! YES, the construction of these apartments are so bad that when any of your adjoining neighbors run the bath water and/or shower, you are in for a rude awakening and I mean that literally. It is so loud that I fell out of my bed because it startled me that much! And I was asleep! Not to mention that you can hear your upstairs neighbor's EVERY single move and even just them walking is amplified and not to mention the floors creak loudly in certain spots when they walk. To discribe living at the Overlook aparmtments in one word; MISERY!!! I have only lived here for one month and three weeks and I am desparate to move out of here. I have spoken to the office several times to ask them to let me move to an upstairs unit and I am told that management cannot do anything about it. That is pure BS any way you look at it. How can it be humanly impossible to let a resident transfer to an upstairs unit' How' The office STAFF are nice and sincere but the management could care less if you are miserable and are not willing to do one darn thing to help you out. Due to lack of sleep since living here, I have become very depressed. I am stuck here for eight more months and there is no way I can live that long without any sleep. For all of you who are considering the Overlook DON'T MOVE HERE! If you make the mistake that I did and rent here, GET AN UPSTAIRS UNIT! It will be your only chance at somewhat of a peaceful living experience here. Sorry to be so negative but there is simply nothing positive about living here except the area is nice.
