We loved The Overlook!! But Cabrillo is a whole different story. Their price jack is a sorry attempt at trying to "keep up with the Jones's", that being the luxury communites Cabrillo is nestled between.
The major problem with us was...there was a friggin' beehive in the wall off of the laundrey room on the porch. We were visited by bees often...and stung often. We had to call them twice to come take care of it. All they did was seal up the entry to the hive, which was in the dryer exhaust vent of the upstairs unit. Okay, so the bees left, but honey started seeping out of our walls, because there were not bees to maintain it.
After doing research and even consulting a bee expert, we found out that the hive could either a) bring the bees back, or b)crystalize and attract smells and ants and all other kinds of bugs, plus deterioration of the wall. We went to the office and explained this to them, and even saying how they would probably save more money knocking that wall out and removing the hive, instead of it deteriorating the wall. Did they care?? Well...we still live here, and so does the beehive.
The bee situation is the only problem we've enountered here, but that, coupled with the fact that our rate will go up again when our lease is up, they told us it would, is enough to leave this summer.
For the price...I would not recommend Cabrillo.
