In the middle of the night, you can hear it. A scratching in the walls..a scurry between the floors - you have rats. Management will act surprised-and do nothing. Then you'll find one..two...six scorpions in you kitchen, bath for God's sake they were in the bedroom! Management will act surprised-and remind you that "well, you do live in the desert". Burns pest control is their vendor who told me "you can spray every week but the scorpions will come back they are in several apartments". According to the pest guy, our apt would qualify as "infested". Management was sympathetic-but still charged us over $1000 for breaking our lease to get the hell out before we were hurt. I cannot stress enough the idiocy of Stacy the Apartment Manager (pierced tounge and all) who had no idea which way the windows opened (left to right or up or down-AND SHE LIVED IN AN APT THERE AS WELL!) Back to the scorpions-I researched and found that they were attracted to the patch of low lying shrubs infront of our deck/patio. They refused to remove the 7x4 patch to even TRY and alleviate the problem. I hope some of those scorpions find their way into the leasing office and stings here right in the ....
BTW-if you wanted covered parking you had to pay extra and for almost all apartments-you assigned parking spot was on the other side of the complex. I could also sing along with my upstairs neighbors music when played at normal levels. As for saftey or well lit areas-hah!

What a loser you are for writing this!! First of all, you failed to mention that they were builing condos next door to the property, and during all that constructions, scorpions came out. The management did all they could possibly do to prevent them from coming into the apartments. Stacy does NOT HAVE A PIERCED TONGUE! And even if she did, so what! She's an awesome community manager, and she goes out of her way to accomodate her residents! And duh, why don't you read your lease when you sign it. You know that great deal you got on your rent? That's from signing a contract. If you didn't get a great deal, then you were month-to-month, and you wouldn't have been charged anything. I hope people who read this don't pay any attention to you. You're a loser!
