I have lived here for a year and am glad that my lease is finally up. Now don't get me wrong there are some pro's in addition to con's.

Pros:
1.Spacious floorplans
2.Pretty quiet community
3.Landscaping-kept up pretty well..Not very loud when they come. Usually just 1 day out of the month I hear them with their blowers but very good compared to other places.

Cons:
1.This is a major tow away zone. The front has some type of contract with the tow company so they get a kickback for towing away people. My friend was parked for 10 minutes while bringing in groceries and he went outside and had to chase after the tow truck which he never caught and ended up paying over 130 bucks to get it back. They stated that somebody must've called on him parking in their spot.. Ya F'n right. It is not possible for a tow co. to be called and show up and take the car all within 10 to 15 minutes. Then when he went to the office to complain they asked if he would like to purchase a parking spot! Are you kidding me''''

2. If anything breaks don't count on it getting fixed for at least a few days.. 1st of all I filled out my move in checklist with everything wrong with the place and nothing was ever fixed. I have a huge crack in the ceiling over 5 ft long and am not even receiving any type of discounted rent or anything. The toilet started overflowing once and we had to shut it off. I called the office and they then asked if we had another bathroom in the apartment. So since I had a 2 bathroom apt I had to wait 4 to 5 days to get it fixed. But whether or not I have another bathroom is besides the point and they should get out immediately to fix it. Not really the maintenance guys fault since everytime I see them they are sweating to death from being overworked. Camden is just drastically understaffed of course.

3. I never had any safety problems here; however, I did notice a few months ago that somebody broke into the coke machine and stole everything out of it..weird..

4. Parking absolutely sucks. I will state though that they did add a lot of "new" visitor spots, (about 5 to be exact) near my place which was nice.. HOWEVER, 2 people decided to park their cars for sale in 2 of the spots thus leaving only 3 extra spots which everybody seems to fight for every night.. First come, first serve rule.. It sucks.. AND the next closest parking spot will be a good block away, no joke. Camden has A LOT of extra covered parking spots which aren't even used. My last apartment complex let us park in any covered or uncovered spots that weren't assigned to anybody but not here at Camden. They set up bait parking spots so they can make some extra $$$$$ of of their residents. But if the spots aren't assigned then be a good landlord and let people use them every now and then.

5. The dreaded gate at the main entrance sucks-don't try to rush in behind somebody when the gate has started to close. The gate will hit your damn car and mess it up. Most gates anywhere else will automatically reopen once your car signals it but not this one. Trust me, the gate will win!!

6. The front staff is just dreadful...You have to remind them repeatedly to do ANYTHING....

7. The gym doesn't have enough machines..Cardio machines that is. The weights are okay but one stairclimber''' come on...

8. Rent-they decided to tell everyone that you get "free" basic cable but I have been here long enough to notice that they are just jacking up everybody's rent by 50 bucks so don't let that "free cable" fool ya because it's coming out of your pocket one way or another.. Plus who really wants just basic cable anymore anyways''''-

9. Valet service''-30 bucks a month for what''' a waste of money to dispose of waste... I think i've only used this service about 10 times since I lived here in a year. And out of the 10 times I put the trashcan out there he grabbed it about 4 times and emptied it.. It's easier to just throw it away yourself.. And there is no option to opt out of this useless service.. Apartment must get a kickback on this service also. The trash guy is very nice though.. He walks around with a cute little booklight attached to his hat and wears one of those yellow reflective vests. Say hi to him next time u see him.. lol


****I found a much nicer condo with all granite kitchen and brand new appliances for 100 dollars cheaper than this place... Trust me I called every single apartment in the north scottsdale area before I moved out and I was shocked to realize that Camden was one close to the exact same price as much nicer ones... All in all, this place is livable and I really enjoyed the huge floorplan but other than that I didn't enjoy anything else. Good luck at this place.... try not to get towed ... I swear the tow guy must live here or something...
