I have lived in Camden Legacy from 9/08 - present. I was looking for a nice apartment, but affordable in North Scottsdale. I can't complain about the initial price. I have a B-3 apartment - Attached garage. It's a nice layout, but older. I am suppose to pay $966/month (for RENT) and that includes basic cable. Sounds great, right' I have 3 things to complain about. 1) Parking - if you have a guest, it is a struggle to find parking. It got to the point where I have to park my car in a guest spot and let my guest park in my garage. 2) HIDDEN FEES - if you plan to rent here, ask your leasing agent what will you be paying for RENT AND EVERYTHING ELSE EACH MONTH at the end of the month. (to keep them from lying, start writing it down and ask them one more time.) I probably spend about $100 extra everyone month on WATER, VALET GARBARGE SERVICE and then GARBAGE SERVICE. 3) Electric Bill is alot higher than other apartments. I don't know if it has to do with the size of my apartment, or the fact that my garage is facing the sun everyday, but my electric bill got over $180 and I keep my thermostat set at 82 degrees when I am home. Other places I have rented from have never gone over $130/month at it's peak. The one thing I can say is that they are very good with maitenance. They follow up and follow through. The management is friendly enough to me and it is pretty quient on the most part. If they were to upgrade the apartments with new furnishings, carpet, tile, etc...they could probably charge alot more for the apartments with the attached garages. Nice bonus if you are looking for extra storage and vehicle protection. 1 more thing, the lighting isn't that great near the apartments, but safety seems to be fine.
