I like the complex, but rent escalation is absurd. I've lived here for just under two years, and the new 12-month lease they offered me is -get this- 31% higher than the amount I agreed upon just 22 months ago.
Staff is nice, dryers take forever, most neighbors are nice (Party-Hardy Culinary students notwithstanding), Showers can be an adventure... It's just like any other complex- some good things, some not so good. You either learn to deal with the things that aren't perfect and move on, or you don't.
I like Camellero, as I truly believe the worst situation is the parking (and if that's the big killer, well, that's not so bad). But frankly, I just can't afford to live there anymore, as a self-supporting student with a child on the way. I'm a bartender. My INCOME hasn't risen 31% in the last 23 months. I don't know how they can see fit to ask that in such a short span on my rent.
