Good and Bad

Converting to condos in 2006.
Still a resident but I will leave when my lease is up next year. Apartments are small but inexpensive by Scottsdale standards. Older complex that is getting a little long in the tooth.
Good points - Generally quiet neighborhood, friendly management, and quiet neighbors. Safeway and Albertsons are 1 block away. Lots of other stores close by.
Bad points - Landscapers think that anything green or flowering needs to be cut down; they are very fond of stick bushes. They do keep the place fairly clean but with noisy leaf blowers at 8am on Wednesdays. Outside maintainence is so-so. Some outside lighting hasn't worked for 6 months. Office refuses to accept packages requiring you to drive to the post office in Fountain Hills to pick them up. Very inconvenient and no particular reason except that management doesn't want to be bothered.
Nothing special about decor and the quality of the appliances is at the bottom. Apartments are smaller than most.
