I last wrote my review here in 2003, and was shocked to find that since then the board has been populated by many biased messages regarding the apt originating from a couple of individuals (possibly the same ones'''). Come on, reviews used to came by only every couple of months - now a review is written in the span of days''' Clearly this is the work of some very biased individuals with too positive and negative opinions abt the community.
The moral of the story is, don't believe the reviews - come check the place out yourself. It's by no means a paradise, and has its faults - but clearly those with too much time on their hand (and problem with the apt), has too much say about the apartment. After a year here, I still maintain that the community is a good place to live. As a 'nice neighborhood' (i.e. high income community), Scottsdale as a place has a particular problem with burglary, and this is also why the leasing office requires each apt to have renters' insurance. I still hope that the leasing office would install a gate soon, it would really help in the very least to act as a deterrant. However, crime happens - so really, it's not something that anyone can directly point a finger to blame at the apt.
