While I lived here, the place was decent. The only problem with the apartment I had was with the air conditioner as many others here. After MANY repeated calls to maintenance, my roommate at the time somehow finally made him take the entire unit out of the ceiling, and it was DISGUSTING! The ?radiator? was covered in a brown mold that stuck out of the fins a good three inches. That is why air was barely coming out of the vents and the apartment was always HOT. Aside from that, the noise insulation from outside and neighbors was great. I never heard anything from any direction. The complex is old, but well maintained for its age. I moved out right as the complex changed ownership, so I do not have much to say about the new management. I remember hearing about the roaches from many others, but did not have any bug problems until the very end (maybe a couple months of bug problems). I will admit it was disgusting when they did come though. The security patrol was a joke, but most are (what can we expect for one person responsible for an entire community). The gates were a REAL pain unless they have been electronically upgraded now. They used to lock them at around 10:00 and open them at 6:00 or so with the main front entrance being the only means in and out of the complex during those hours. This caused many people to drive through the grass around the gate. My vehicle was also vandalized for no apparent reason. Someone keyed all the way down the side of my vehicle in one fluid motion. So it did not appear to be retaliation for anything. At an unrelated time, everything valuable was stolen out of the back of my toolbox the one night I accidentally left it unlocked (my fault). This was before the gates though. Overall, I lived there for almost three years with these being the only problems. Nice neighborhood and although I have only lived in three communities, this is the only complex I have yet to live in where I really made friends with many of my neighbors. I have been told by one friend that the place has gone downhill in quality while uphill in appearance (and price) since and some have left. I would recommend walking around and casually approaching normal looking residents in common areas and see how they feel before signing the lease. As I left it though, I am recommending this place.
