Vacating Premises!! Lease Term is over, Thank God! I have had several problems with the unit and some things were corrected while others were just patched up. This is unacceptable. I am submitting a list of problems and/or concerns while living at "The Cortesian Apartments":
1. Dog crap by my back gate and always around or near my unit! ( I don't even have a dog but love animals)
2. People jumping the gate at the pool and partying after hours. Not to mention the trash in and around the pool for months!
3. Laundry Facility gross!!! Window pane broke to my knowledge for 4 weeks before replaced and door always left open because tenants don't have a key, left in unit or whatever reason'
4. Let's not forget all those Corona beer bottles and cigarette butts around my unit!! (I don't smoke)!
5. Others always parking in my space and towing signs posted and can't even call to report unless you are the manager. What's the point' This has gone on for days and management has done nothing about it but put a piece of paper on the windshield. "Oh yeah that scares them"''
6. Partying going on upstairs till 3 a.m. on a school night! People got to get up in the morning to go to work. I am not the only one....am I'' Being called names for asking them to please keep it down.
7. Refrigerator doesn't work properly, half of the time my milk freezes unless I move it closer to the door.
8. I had a water leak in my closest it was fixed...I guess' It took weeks for the carpet to dry, was not replaced and ruined several pairs of shoes that were expensive.
9. Toilet facility has stopped up on several occasions, thank goodness I have a plunger!
10. Mentioned on 3 occasions that I can recall about the pipes leaking in the shower area. Has never been properly corrected. Maintenance replaced sheet rock and repainted. (got paint all over my shower curtain). Fumes were so bad I had a headache for a week. As of today 2-2-2007, this morning there is a hole in the ceiling the water (cold) fell on my head as I was showering. So much for that patch job. I'd say a waste of materials and time.
11. Mysterious spots have shown up in the carpet in places I have never walked in. Padding was probably not replaced in a while.
12. Back door does not lock properly and I have had to resort to placing a lock on the gate and using the front door.
13. Sometimes the front door won't close properly either and I have to put my body weight on it then it works'
14. Mildew in the bathtub. I have tried to clean and scrub but no luck there. Looks like another quick fix of placing some fresh chalk over to hide pre-existing.
15. Bathroom sink continues to clog up. I had to use a needle nose and pliers to get hair out of sink when I moved in originally.
16. Sprinkler system faulty or maybe a bad design. I always get water in my back patio.
17. Problems with garbage disposal, but has been corrected.
18. Microwave went out, but was replaced.
19. Trash bends - Not enough of them. Always over flowing and trash surrounding area.
Don't Do It!!! You'll hate yourself!
