I'm talking about Broadstone Desert Horizons here, right next door to the above address. If you are considering them ......... don't walk............RUN!! In 30 years of living and working with apartment living, this is as bad as it gets. This is the poorest organized and uncooperative organization on the planet. These folks are strickly out to make a buck and really don't care how they get there. They could care less about the residents and any problems you might have.

You live in an apartment complex ---- heat... and it's 25 yrs old...what you see is what you get. It amazes me ~ you A**Holes see what these apts look like before renting, then you ----- two days after you move in because it's not brand new. If you live on a beer budget, don't expect Champagne product!!! None of you Retards have any common sense...we rent out apartments... we ARE NOT the Police, Post Office, Social Services, UPS, Daycare, Phone Book...just to name a few!!! But Seriously, get a life and if you don't like it, then buy a house!! But then who would you ----- to?????

Anonymous 05/01/2010, if your attitude is a reflection on the majority of the people who work at Desert Horizons, then potential renters would be smart to stay away from your place.

No doubt, if that is someone who works in the office, I sincerely hope some form of management above them has seen this and gotten rid of them. That is ridiculously horrendous in terms of customer service. Honestly, this person's complaint was strictly about the management in the office being uncooperative, and rather than trying to mend the relationship between the renter and themselves, they'd rather cuss him or her out via the internet? That's a winning attitude to draw more in. I am EXTREMELY glad I moved out of here.

I'm outa here when my lease is up at year end. The new manager of this complex is extremely unprofessional and has bad customer sevice skills. Treats you like a child. When you ask for any repairs, etc they get their panties in a twist!!

The unprofessionalism of the new manager has also been something we've experienced firsthand. Alliance Residential policy and culture supports and protects this behavior. So don't expect to get results by going up the chain of command. It got us nowhere when we attempted to do so. It is our recommendation that if you are a perspective tenant, steer very clear of this property. Your rent check is the only thing of value to management. Not to mention the risk of being trapped in a lease with unreasonably high concessions due to over inflated market values. Also expect to be required to give sixty days' notice, not thirty, if you wish to vacate at the end of your term.

9/15/2010 I TOTALLY AGREE with all of these reviews! RUN! The turnover of the management company is unbelieveable. Every 6 months it's a new company and they bring their own rules and procedures. And, they get more stupid and phony each time! There is mold in these apartments, the pools are always dirty, the mailbox is always broken They do not make it convenient to pay rent, either. No drop box and they open maybe at 9 AM and close at 6 PM. Not resident friendly at all! When maintenance finally shows up to fix something, they leave the lights on, etc. They have you over a barrel when you sign that lease! You get nothing in return! Beleive me and all the other people who have written reviews, READ AND RUN!

Run the other way - QUICK! The worst management company and the front office stinks. They are impersonal and hard to deal with. Maintenance-forget it! I asked them to fix a drawer four times and this last time they fixed it alright-I found a paper towel stuffed in the back of the rail that is suppose to attach to the wall! I removed the paper towel and imagine - the drawer was broken again! I just left it. The washer leaks - constantly even with maintenance supposed to be fixing it. Mould and contact papers on the floors. AWFUL-AWFUl-AWFUL- what more can I say! Do NOT MOVE HERE! The pool - heated they tell you - well I have been here 2 yrs. and am always told they are working on it. Pools are dirty as well. RIP OFF! Don't waste your time or money!

DO NOT BE FOOLED!! The seemingly reasonable rent is absolutely NOT WORTH IT!! My water bill is $60 plus dollars a month (I recently found out that the residents split the entire properties water bill, this includes the overly watered landscapes!! and revolting pools) The hot tub hasn't been hot for for than a few days at a time for three years!! The buildings are poorly built so expect high utility bills, my average cooling bill is $250 in the summer FOR A ONE BEDROOM to MAINTAIN 80 degrees. All that aside, this property is poorly managed! There have been 4 different managers since i have lived here, and the support staff in the office are revolting and rude, but dont worry, they turn over every few weeks too!! The Maintenance staff are the only redeeming quality. They work hard and its obvious they share the same frustrations regarding the management.

Very rude and impolite leasing staff. They think they are doing a favor to the tenants, they forget tenants are their customers and customers are usually right. Also, the leasing agents are very pesky. They always try to peek into the apartments and what tenants are doing, what they have in the backyard. Very annoying - don't want to rent here since the leasing management is very poorly rated and the complex is very large and they don't know how to manage.
