This attractive DC Ranch apartment community appears to be close to perfection from the outside, unfortunately poor construction plus a snooty disrespectful staff equals to an expensive disappointment with a year long commitment. Never before have I encountered such a cheaply designed development; I am astonished how the multiple 3 story cardboard structures are still standing. Neighbor and outside noise is a MAJOR issue in any of Desert Parks Vista s apartments. The only residents at Desert Parks Vista free of noisy neighbors are those with no neighbors. This complex is so cheaply constructed it is entirely possible to have a conversation through your ceiling with your upstairs neighbor. Insulation is nonexistent and utility costs are comparable to a gingerbread house in Death Valley.
If interested in residing at DPV be sure to be take caution when communicating with the office staff as they tend to be extremely cocky and domineering. Office staff often appears to be annoyed when disturbed and even threatening when questioned. This attitude from Desert Parks Vista's pompous Management and Staff quickly developed after realizing the high demand for this complex in the D.C. Ranch neighborhood. In conclusion, Desert Parks Vista is a very attractive retirement community in an upper-class north Scottsdale neighborhood. Although it is illegal for DPV management to discriminate on age, gender, sex, or race potential residents should take into consideration the dominant senior population at DPV. A recent survey found that 87% of current residents are 65 and are encouraged to partake in community festivities including egg hunts, arts and crafts, senior karaoke, and elderly scorpion chase. I HIGHLY discourage anyone from considering Desert Parks Vista unless over the age of 65, deaf, or mindless.
