I've rented from no less than seven different landlords - both rental houses and apartment complexes (mostly apartment complexes, though). All of them were in the Phoenix Metro area - North Phoenix, NorthWest Phoenix, Gilbert, Mesa, and now Scottsdale. This apartment complex is, by far, the worst landlord I've ever rented from.

I've lived here for more than two years and I've seen about four different Managers in and out of the place and countless Assistant Managers. Every time I visit the office to ask for a repair or to make a complaint about service, etc., they treat me like I'm some sort of low-life liar. I don't get it.

Parking is ALWAYS nearly if not totally full, so my wife and I almost always have to park on the street.

The walls and especially the ceiling are paper-thin - we can hear every step our upstairs neighbor takes, we can hear them turn on their shower, we can hear them urinating in the toilet, and we can certainly hear the racket from their TV and/or stereo.

The grounds are trimmed and "blowered" every Tuesday. But, we live in one of the subterranian apartments facing 115th Street that have a stair well that's exposed at the bottom. The stair well is NEVER touched by anyone unless you ask for it - and then, like will be mentioned below about the maintenance department, it takes forever for it to get cleaned up - if it's ever cleaned up. For example, I asked the Assist. Mgr. to clean it on 09/07/05 and as of today (09/12/05), it's still not cleaned up.

Construction/safety is not too great either - several months ago, a drain spout fell off the building and landed in front of my apartment - I'm glad no one was under it when it fell. A tree branch broke off and landed on top of the trash dumpster - no one removed it for several days; we couldn't get to the dumpster.

Like I said earlier, the office staff is absolutely horrible. They have absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. They do not emphathize or apologize. The accuse and shift blame - "Oh, we lost the message." "The maintenance people missed it." "They are behind in their work today."
