I lived there in the 90's - things must've changed

I lived at the Equestrian for 5 years during the 90's and it was nice back then. The work order thing was an issue after we lost our really fantastic maintenance man. I can assume things went downhill from there. We were up in apt 279 and had a pretty major roof leak once, but it was fixed pretty quick. I remember it being noisy, not the people per se, but you could hear everything because walls were thin. Put it this way, you get what you pay for and so the size apt for the area and ammenities being that it's Scottsdale is a factor. I liked it when I was there but we're talking before Frank Lloyd went thru to the west, no McDonald's just me, the desert, safeway, heck the storage place wasn't even built yet. Listen to folks who've rented recently, I don't think they'll steer you wrong and perhaps the old Equestrian is finally going downhill. I was just up there yesterday and noticed they painted it since I lived there. It used to be a nice pink desert shade, now it's just plain tan. I'd receommend the apts based on price and the fact that I had no major problems. New management was pissy toward the end so keep that in mind.
