This place really needs improvements. It needs to start with the manager, Amy. She needs to get off the phone with her friends and get out into the complex. If she ever walked around, she would notice that this place is slowly falling apart. The maintenance guys only pick up trash around the dumpster and in view of Amy's sight. There is always trash that will stay for days to weeks. Thank God the wind finally blows it away. Then there is the dog poop!! It has been the worse we have ever seen it. When you let the office know, again nothing is done. When you have a maintenance issue...good luck. When maintenance does show up, they show up enpty handed. Never bring tools for the problem you already stated. They walk in and look at the problem, then they leave, usually for abouot 30 minutes, come back, look again, whoops, forgot something, leave again. For a very simple 20 minute job, it takes them a total of usually 2 hours. If they don't have the equipment to fix it you wait and wait. Most of the time Amy will tell you that you will have to wait for the equipment, that the corporate office won't allow them to purchase any thing. Come on, isn't a filter someting they should always have! Where do they hire these people from'' None of them have proper training, the new assistant was a cook!
The only good thing about the place is it is normally quiet.

...yeah when i lived here, the water to the washmachine was leaking, so they told me to shut off the main water valve so every time i needed to use the washer, i had to turn on the water supply first, then shut it off after my load was done so it wouldn't leak. what a joke.

I would like to agree with you on some aspects, Amy is not a "People Person" I have seen her yelling at residents over the smallest things, she brags about being here for 3 years and thinks she knows everything about everything. I tried telling her once she was wrong and she kicked me out of the office, only to later find out that I was right the whole time. She doesn't need to be that way to people. The maintenance staff, while they are pretty new, try to get everything done within reasonable time. The requests I have had have been taken care of. I give them a lot of credit, because it could be worse. The issue I have with your opinion is when they show up to do repairs, I call and give them complete details on something that is not broken. Maybe you didn't tell them what it was correctly, so they had to figure it out before they could fix it. The dog poop is something that happens on every property, I catch the people that aren't picking up after their pets and tell the office. If you ask for filters, they usually have them in the office, I get them every month. I love how you criticize them for their job and don't see the amount of things they are trying to do. Maintenance would not be the reason I move out of here. It would probably be because of Amy, I just can't deal with her "way" of managing. I feel bad for the rest of the staff there, judging by how she treats the residents, I would hate to see how she treats the staff. I think she needs the most training. I would even send her to charm school, that wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Wow, I go in and hang out chatting with Amy every so often and never saw this side of her. As a matter of fact, on a number of occasions she has gone above and beyond for my family.
