I have leased from Pillar Communities for 3 years. I have nothing good to say about them, with the exception of Ed Smith, who no longer works in the office. He was great. The others are differen each time I call. I have emailed Pillar from their webpage, as they suggest, if there are issues & of course they never respond. If you do get a live person on the phone they will be pleasant & then do nothing. Maybe they just laugh after they hang up' The biggest problem I have had is the maintenance staff. They are "know-it-alls" & just do what they absolutely have to. I hate the fact that they knock/ring once, then just come right in yelling 'maintenance". Granted I'm not their only stop but please give me a chance to answer the door! Preferably WITH clothes on! Also, upon move in, I asked several times for the carpet & blinds to be replaced. I guess they will do that AFTER I move out. The walls had to be redone in places. And what's with that horrid "drip" noise that comes from behind the bathroom tub faucet' I have to keep the bathroom door shut at night to get sleep. It's very true about the gates, I think they need to replace them entirely. God knows we have no security on site (or in site ever)..unless maybe you're swimming after hours when they come around to lock everyone out (like we're all children). Now the courtyard lamps have been out for almost a week..and with the serial killers still on the loose it's very unsettling to take your dog out after dark. I could go on & on about other things but I think I've made my point. The deal is that GlenEagles have great floorplans & one/two car garages. I love the spaciousness of my apartment...but I pay for that.....almost $1500/month. I feel when you pay that much, your home should be kept in near perfect condition, afterall we know what will happen if it's less than perfect when we move out.
