I lived in 2 apartments during my time here. I first had the way-too-small 1 bedroom and then upgraded to the 1 bedroom townhouse with attached garage. I really loved the floorplan and that is why I stayed so long. You've got to see it, really. For a while the increases in rent were so small, I just couldn't leave. The jet noise was not as bad as the noise transmission through the walls. A little more insulation would do the trick.
The office was always mediocre, but certainly no worse than you find anywhere else. I think it is more about the kind of people who work in the business. I always paid on time but twice they sent me eviction warning letters because I supposedly didn't pay. Both times I visited the office in person and found they had applied my payment to someone else's account. Not the end of the world, but very careless. A phone call to me would have been nicer than a nasty letter tucked in the door, especially considering my timely payment history. Again, mediocre is the best description here.
The only truly bad thing was the undersized AC unit. The airy open townhouse never really cooled off in the summer, the AC unit required maintenance every single summer, and the blower kicks up quite a strong breeze when the air or heat turned on. I forgot that AC should be relatively silent until I moved away. I sleep so much better now. Also be warned the the AC unit for the townhouse and your 2 neighbors below are all located over the townhouse's living room. It makes some vibration with 3 units whirring overhead.
Nice place overall, really miss the floorplan. Would make a great condo if i could insulate the walls for sound and install an appropriate AC unit.
