First of all, every negative review on Glen Eagles is 100% accurate. When I moved in, the apartment was in such poor condition, I had to wait 2 extra days for them to finish cleaning/painting it. Even then, it was still horrible but I had to get my furniture out of the moving truck. My A/C stopped working no fewer than 3 times (each time being on a weekend so I had to wait days for it to get fixed). The staff is there to do nothing more than sign up new tenants. One even got drunk one night at the pool and threatened to fight and/or evict a bunch of people who wouldn't give him more alcohol - very professional.
The final straw came after I moved out. EIGHT months after moving out, I received a letter in the mail demanding over $700 to "replace carpet." As you may or may not know, they are supposed to notify former tenants within 30 days, which of course they SAID they did...but that letter never arrived. I immediately went to the office to dispute the claim (the carpet was fine - just normal wear and tear) but the Manager was "on vacation." The asst. manager said their carpet life is expected to be 7 years (I've never seen carpet at an apartment last even half that long) and I will be charged to replace it unless I lived there the full 7 years. I returned 2 more times and was finally told that the file had been sent to a COLLECTION AGENCY!!! As I write this, I am disputing the charge with them directly but I have no idea how this will turn out. My credit may be affected, which will require MUCH effort to fix. The irony, of course, is that I left the apartment in better condition than when I moved in.
Move to Glen Eagles at your own risk. Cover your *** and force the manager to do a final walk-through in your presence when you move out!!! SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV
