I have never in my life had to deal with more rude or unprofessional people as the staff at Pillar. It all started after we re-signed our lease. We started to get letters on our door about every other week for stuff like you under paid your rent by $5 when we over paid our rent every month and we proved that! Then my parents came to visit for a couple of days and were on their way out of town, so they stopped by. My parents had our dogs with them and instead of leaving them out in a hot car; they opted to bring them inside for about 30 min. One of the maintenance guys saw the dogs as they were leaving and the next day we received a 10-day eviction notice on the door for having dogs in the apartment. I called and explained the situation to the front office staff and they told me that dogs were not permitted on the grounds. I informed them of a couple who walk there dog around the complex on a nightly basis and I was told that maybe it was an assisted living dog. Last time I checked, Schnauzer's were not assisted living dogs. Then we were scolded by Rebecca for not bringing this to their attention sooner. That was in February and our lease was up in April so I went into the office to talk to them about all of my concerns. I told them that because of all of the negative things that had happened in the past months, we would not be signing a lease for third year. I was never given any forms to fill out at that time or any other time I went in to pay our rent. To make a loooong story short we ended up paying month to month rent the last month we were there, which was $1150.00 because they said we didn't let them know of our intent to vacate. I wish I could convey all of the stress they have caused but it's hard to do so in an email. If I were you I would think twice and consider if you enjoy being harassed on a weekly basis.
