Let me start out by saying that the management in the front office is AWFUL - and will not make any effort whatsoever to fix any maintenance needs you have. Then, when you finally move out of this he11hole - you end up paying outrageously overpriced fees for all of the maintenance you "never reported" even though you did numerous times. Strange stains were in the bathtub WHEN we move in - WE paid for the stains when we moved out. We were told by the manager in the front that the reason some apts have berber carpets and others don't is because they have been ripping up the berber carpet as soon as a tenant moves out and replacing it. We had berber, we moved out (w/ carpet still in perfect conditions), and WE PAID for the carpet to be ripped out and replaced in the end!!!!! We refused to pay - only to get it sent to collections, Pillar would not even deal with us at that point. Now our credit sucks because of them. Finally we paid. Pillar had "proof" of carpet damage, since they took digital pictures and obviously modified them (darkened them etc) to make the carpet look worse in the pictures than it really was!!!!! This was the basis for their reasoning why we should pay - even after they told us they rip out all the berber anyway!!!!! Tack on another $200 fee for an albersons grocery bag w/ trash to be removed from the garage that we forgot about!!! If you want to be scammed, treated like crap by the trash at the front desk, and have your credit ruined in the end - definately move here... otherwise, stick to something Mark Taylor.

Mark Taylor = Apartment mgmt company. I agree, they blow Pillar out of the water. I have lived in both communities. We have had a very similar experience. We have not moved out yet, but thanks for the heads up on the exhorbitant fees we will pay. They already informed us that things that were broken when we moved in will be our responsibility when we move out. JERKS!

I have lived in pillat too. It really sucks. You have to pay for everything, including made up crap. They are the worst. And if you have to get out of the lease, you are looking at a few thousand dollars to even tens of thousands of dollars. It is insane
