I live in a large re-modeled one bedroom Amhurst 1x1. The larger of the 3 one bedroom floor plans. We pay $1018.00 with the water included. With what we pay there are some key factors that are missing I'm not sure how I missed them. Even with living in Scottsdale. Although we needed a place to live quickly and we had some issues with being approved. One of the things missing would be the gate' This place is not gated. Second thing would be an alarm system. 3rd would be a security number to call listed on the website. That would have been nice when some drunk or confused person late at night tried using their key to get into our apt. I guess I should have called the cops but I didn't want to deal with that.

Here's a low down on the the complex according to the ratings below.

Parking: When I moved in it was one assigned spot for the 2 of us but now its free parking and this has helped ALLOT. Before I was stealing spots from time to time but now I can park where ever. Although you cant park backwards in your spots and I think that sucks bu I can live with it. It's much better then before. Although they should get rid of a few of those handicapped spots cause after 9pm on Friday and Saturday night you cannot find parking at least on the south west side of the office, that is.

Noise: I cant stand the windows here yes they are double pained BUT and here's the deal breaker, they are poorly insulated. The one in the living room is so off that it actually lets air in when it's windy and the blinds literally blow in the wind, where they knock together. It's not that bad right now and I can see them moving. It also lets allot of noise from the road in and since I'm facing the road I now realize that was a bad idea. Since this complex rests in an area where cars are constantly doing U turns even though there's a no U turn sign posted. so cars pull in to the parking it to turn around so there are horns beeping all night and day. I cant count how many close calls I've had.

Grounds: they are nice nothing special. grass areas are green but there is an area where chicken bones are. They've been there for over a month. Really who does that'

Safety: Well with the lack of a gate and the guy trying to get into my apt, I don't feel as safe as I used too. My area is well lit and there aren't any shrubs in the way but with the lack of a gate in Arizona it's a biggie. also this apt was the only one that didn't have an alarm of all of them that I looked at and I can't believe that I missed that. What we are paying we should have that.

Construction: funny how the paint really looks and how there are hairs in the bathroom painted on the walls I just don't know what to do about that but I find it funny an disgusting at the same time. so yeah there are hairs under the paint on the bathroom walls and I really don't know what to do about that. How do you accomplish that' Did they not even bother to clean the bathroom before painting it' Not only that but there is paint on everything. So I'm guessing they didn't cover anything either or use the taped strips to define lines all around the painters sucked. There's grout all over the carpet, also where the carpet meets the tile looks wrong like its separated. They said it would look better after walking on it but its looking worse. Don't forget the window problem. I'm also worried about one of the car ports that makes allot of noise when it gets windy. Oh and I'm on the third floor for what ever reason the floor shakes when the downstairs neighbor has their air on so all the time now. I Went to the office they said they would look into it and it's better then it was but its still shakes and I'd complain some more but whats the point. I hardly got it fixed the first time, after weeks and weeks of complaints.

Maintenance: Well they are ok but I did have an issue with a fridge that was fixed thanks to one of the managers that get things done. I had a bathroom leak fixed right away and a tub unclogged with in the same day. but there's still that floor problem and I have yet to complain about the window.

Staff: they are really nice and that's why we live here.

Overall: We pay too much and are missing allot of things you get with what we are paying to live here. All in all, it's a place to live and it's allot better then allot of other places I've lived. Also costs allot more then the other places. Just check your windows and don't live facing the road because there's allot of loud traffic.
