I did quite a bit of research before choosing San Antigua to rent an apartment. Given the situation of the real estate market right now, one has to recognize that buying property is NOT wise. Having moved recently from the east coast and never visited the Phoenix area, I had to rely on resources like this website to help me find my rental home. After viewing several other luxury apartments in Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Chandler it was immediately evident that San Antigua was the obvious choice. The location is KEY... an affluent neighborhood on the green belt that is safe, clean, quiet, and full of great restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Most importantly, NO Section 8 or the like for miles! Sweet heaven. Management here is extremely helpful and professional-- that should be a given, but many of the new "luxury" apartments are run by morons with snotty attitudes who truly don't give a rat's ass about the residents as long as their checks clear. The first week after moving into my apartment I notified management that the washing machine was leaking. Within 3 days it was replaced with a brand new one... no hassles, no questions asked. Even the maintanance crew is friendly, intelligent, and respectful. Pricing is very fair considering the area, ammenities, and the quality of service the management team offers. My 2 bed 2 bath with attached 2 car garage is $1300 a month. Other apartments that I viewed charged as much or more and most offered only a 1 car garage or carport. Having a car and a motorcycle, the 2 car garage is a necessity. The only negative comments I have to make are regarding the look of the interior of the apartment. It is a bit bland and overly white, and in comparison to some of the newer complexes, lacks style in the choice of cabinetry and countertops. The construction, however, is structurally more sound as the windows are double-paned for noise reduction and the floors have a thick layer of concrete for the same reason. The square footage is exceptional, the floorplans are well laid out, and the garage is enormous. My absolute favorite feature here is the 25 mile running/biking trail of which a portion runs alongside the entire west side of the San Antigua complex. I feel safe jogging every morning, the trail is well maintained, and the people are always friendly. Honestly, if you are looking for a fun, social place full of hot, young, post college-aged people who party by the pool and have lots of hot, single friends... don't move here. You WILL be disappointed. Check out Desert Ridge in North Scottsdale instead. If you are looking for an older, more sedate crowd and a peaceful place...this is home.

Can anyone say - MANAGER?!?!? The last review "Read This" is clearly an inside job. "The floors have a thick layer of concrete"? What resident would say that? How would they know? "Structurally sound" construction? C'mon. Not to mention it was about 2,000 words long. The author is either a nutty shut-in who I wouldn't listen to anyway, or it was a manager or owner. I suggest next time - don't make it so obvious.
