I've lived here for almost four years and in two different apartments. I have a covered parking space but have had it occupied by others w/o the power to tow...the office consistently tells me to leave a note on the car and only managaement can tow and they need to give the offender 24 hrs. to move it. Meanwhile I'm left w/o a spot to park...no resolution. Too many twenty-something year olds who decorate w/beer bottles and leave their cigarette butts scattered on the sidewalks. This aint a dorm! If you like revving motorcycle engines, herds of elephants clumping up stairways at all hours of the night and slamming doors throughout the day, this could be your home.

It's 2009 now and things haven't changed AT ALL! I feel like I'm also living in a college dorm. Cigarette butts on my doorstep and all over the sidewalk, the herds of elephants on the stairs example is 100% true. Sometimes I swear there are like 50 people stomping up and down the stairs. I listen to parties upstairs EVERY weekend with super loud music, what sounds like wrestling or furniture throwing, constant yelling and "woohoo"'s for no apparent reason, and it sounds like 50 people are stomping around up there until like 3am. Don't mention the cigarette butts being thrown over their porch all night long.
I've called the police for noise complaints on the people upstairs and so have various people that live around me. The police have been here 4 times in the past 4 months!!!!! I've also complained to the office staff at least 5 times, and guess what, at this point it appears that absolutely NOTHING is being done about it.
Let's also talk about the abandoned cars with all 4 tires deflated that sit in the parking lot for OVER 6 MONTHS and management does nothiong. Or the strange camper that has been sitting in the same parking spot for the entire 3 years that I've lived here.....really nice. If you like white trash this is the place for you!!!
Apparently the San Carlos is more interested in having disrespectful 22 year olds and degenerates for tennants than some more responsible, peacefull and quiet 30 somethings that cause NO TROUBLE for anyone else.
I've lived here for over 3 years, and have been patient up until now. The maintanence staff used to be great and come to fix your issue within 2 days, in the past year I've waited as long as 6 days to get something fixed. At this point I can't wait to get out of here.
