For a Scottsdale address, it IS VERY dumpy! The outside is totally gross and dirty. The inside apartments are DATED - old, old, old. beat up appliances, ugly, dirty counters, and the cheapest carpet this side of the mississippi.

It's college kid heaven, party - party- party. Pot smoke is everywhere, it's pretty bad.

Since the new management took over - If looks could kill. These people work in one of the rattiest apartment complexes (they lie to get you to sign a contract, then you are stuck) and they are the rudest folks around. Like, HELLO! you are a SALES PERSON in a crappy complex - where do you get off with the attitude''''

People laugh when they hear where you live. It's a shame, becuase the location is "okay" if you don't mind living around a bunch of other apartments - which equates to HIGH CRIME. A bunch of transients living in the same general area. The Zuni elementary area is to be AVOIDED at all costs if you value your life.

Hey, it's a rough place. Surprised no one else has been killed here this year. Good luck if you move here.

Thank you for your candid opinion about San Marcos. We are sorry to hear you did not have an enjoyable experience here at San Marcos. Equity Residential strives to maintain the highest of community standards on all our community's. Since we have owned San Marcos we have made some very positive changes to our community. Some of those changes may not have been percieved as positive by some of our residents at the time we took over ownership. We strive to maintain the highest standards when it comes to our community and individual apartments. Since we have owned and managed San Marcos there have been no reports of any violent crimes on our community. Our community action officer with the City of Scottsdale has assured us that no recent killings has taken place here. As the Manager I can do my best to ensure my residents have a comfortable and pleasant living expierence while here at San Marcos. haha ok all of you people who say don't move here b/c it is a bad area need to move somewhere besides scottsdale,az and see what bad areas really are....i'm from tx and in no way does this area compare....i have never been scared for my life, never seen any "thugs" walking around with neck tattoos and from what people say tear drops under their eyes(which means they have officially killed someone). i walk my dog up and down all the roads around here and never have i seen anything to make me think this area is unsafe. go to downtown phoenix and southside and tell me what you think.... i will admit the staff is not very professional, but welcome to every apartment complex in the nation!

This statement is obviously from a prissy ass Scottsdale snob, any part of Scottsdale in this area is far from hood, I will take you to the hood. Don't be so rude, it's pretty humerous you try to make this place sound like its suffering from gangsteritis. Grow up.
