Security Deposit Alert

In my opinion San Marin management has some questionable practices regarding security deposits. If you're the person who is responsible for the security deposit (as an individual or as a guarantor) don't say you haven't been warned. In some cases when people leave, San Marin is installing all new carpet for the next tenant on the backs of those who are leaving. They acknowledge that they charge more money for units that have brand new carpeting. There are lower rates for units with "old" carpet. San Marin management unilaterally decides when carpets need to be replaced in one case saying that they rely on the carpet cleaners to make that decision. Say what' Great location. Apartments and property could use a facelift. But don't let the smiles fool you when you walk in because in our experience you won't be smiling on the way out. Rug money for them buys a lot of gas for you.
