San Marin is not worth the hassle

I am female professional in my late 20's and moved into San Marin for the excellent location. Although our unit was priced over what we wanted to pay and found in comps, we were told it was "highly upgraded." The upgrades were faux granite countertops. My roommate and I chose the complex for the social aspect, which back fired. It is full of undergraduate partiers who are up until wee hours of the morning all week long. The pool is open 24 hours and the acoustics are so bad that I could here private conversations between two people up in my 3rd floor apartment. The office staff was not that bad. However, upon move out we had our apartment professionally cleaned and inspected. We were told it was in great shape, so imagine our surprise when we were charged $300 for changing out the shower heads and $250 to have the carpet cleaned, which was spotless (the inspector said, 'the carpet looks great' but in our final bill it was said to be full of stains and needing a two day treatment).
Additionally, my friends car was towed from my personal parking space and the small parking space ensure that your car will get its doors dinged. If you want to live in Old Town, I would go to the Palladium next door.
