At first glance, everything looks great - quiet, safe, great location...

To make a long story short, the rent was raised $300 last year and we were stupid enough to rent at that price due to other chaos in our lives making it hard to move. (I've seen better rates in several rentals in this area.) Anyway, it's overpriced, understaffed, poorly maintained. They NEVER answer their phones; they'd rather talk to potential renters naturally. Their tenants are last on the priority list since we've already signed. The employees in the leasing office are rude, ditsy and pretentious.

Our ceiling in the master bath leaks and now has a hole in it. The whole area looks all brown and dirty. (That was supposed to be temporary, but every time the maintenance man comes to look at it he says he'll have to come back and never does.) Our carpets are pretty bad, all our drains are very slow, and we can hear and SMELL the tenants on the other side of the wall. ...oh yeah, and the oven handle fell off a few days ago too.

They can't keep anyone to work as a maintenance person, so it's a new guy every time and he always just takes care of things with a "temporary" fix. A couple weeks ago, our dryer started on fire! I don't mean a little smoky or smelly; I'm talking FLAMES. Fortunately, we hadn't left our apt as early as planned and caught it before the whole place went up in flames. Our rent money surely isn't used for any kind of upkeep.

I would not recommend this place to anyone and greatly regret not doing much research before jumping into a lease with Camden San Paloma.
