A fair review...

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
We moved into our apartment in June of '04. We were a little nervous because they were recarpeting the unit we selected and would not let us preview it. But we liked the complex and staff so much that we went ahead and signed. Sure enough, when we moved in, there was a huge ugly water stain by the bath tub. Oh, well, we loved the layout of the apartment, and were still happy. Then, just three days after we moved in, the a/c went out. Our apartment was 95 degrees, and they did not fix it for 3 days... Ugh!
After that, the dryer quit working, but that was replaced with a brand new one quite promptly. Our washer is a little scary and should be replaced, but I won't complain unless it quits alltogether.
Within the last week, our hot water heater went out, and was also not replaced for 3 days... Cold showers in January are not too fun, but the maintenance guy's were nice and actually got it fixed before we expected.
We renewed our lease in November and will be here until August, when we have already decided to move out. We were a little dissappointed that they raised our rent by $10.00/mo. even though the signs out front still represent the price we paid during our last lease.
The pools are nice. They break frequently, but they are always fixed pretty quick. I expect this is about average for an 11 year old complex.
So to summarize, the staff is always super nice, especially Rebecca. We know a couple other people in the complex who have been here much longer than us, and they seem to like it okay, too.
My only real complaints about the place are that we never heard our last upstairs neighbor, but the new one is crrrazy! He vacuums three times a day and rearranges his furniture at 3:30 in the morning, and the walls are so thin that if I am using our bathroom the same time he is, I can actually hear him pee! Icky...
And the parking is silly... We have to park 1/2 way accross the complex to get covered assigned parking, so we opt to park in the uncovered guest parking closer to our apartment, when the guy upstairs gets to park right in front of our door, and we've been here twice as long and ask to get a closer spot almost every month when we go in to pay rent...
But the grounds are pretty and I have never felt unsafe. All in all, I just think it is a little exspensive for what you get; but if you really want to live in N. Scottsdale, it's not too bad. Really close to litterally "everything"...
Thanks for reading my review...
