God's Punishment

This place is a nightmare.
Parking is getting better, but only because tenants are moving out becaues Sonoran Vista is converting to Condominium homes in a few months. Because my roomates each had cars, every once in a while we would be forced to park in front of the office, and no, NOT in a parking spot, or in the "Future Resident" parking spot. But, be careful about that, because I've seen people receive tow-away warnings plastered on their windshield because all they wanted to do was park their car somewhere relatively safe. Apparently, Sonoran Vista thought it would be funny to paint curbs red and make people think it was a Fire Zone. Luckily, I'm bright enough to telephone Scottsdale PD and ask if painting a curb red makes it a fire zone - it doesn't. City Ordinance makes a curb a fire lane. Thankfully, that saved my parking spot in front of the walkways between townhomes.
Speaking of safe, management got the bright idea of installing gates. These almost never work. I would rather have no gate, than a non-working gate. It seems like they're always stuck open. Walk-through gates never work, either. I can just jolt the gate door hard with my hand, and the lock will pop open, and I can walk to my apartment door from the front of the leasing office, where I had to park my car.
Occasionally, none of the people in my apartment get to park in the covered parking, because someone else takes our spot. This place closely resembles hell.
To call these "Luxury Condominiums" would be a stretch that even "Stretch Armstrong" couldn't even do.
The apartment staff and management remind me vageuly of blood-sucking vampires cross-bred with some sort of horror-movie monster growling and covered with hair.
It takes several weeks to get the maintanence staff to fix a simple thing like a broken handle on a microwave. And once they "fix" it, it breaks a week later.
Neighbors are usually loud, and uncontrollable. Management doesn't seem to care what tenants do as long as they receive rent. These managers would probably fit in better in the slums or if they were running a seedy motel from a cheesy detective movie.
The only thing that I can say I remotely liked about the 3-bedroom was the 2 patios. Although the main patio would be easily soaked during a downpour - how often does that happen in Arizona'
The streets in this complex frequently flood during heavy floods, leaving me ankle deep in ice-cold, smelly drain water while trying to make my way to my vehicle. However, it's not only the streets, it's the sidewalks between patches of gravel and dead grass.
Irresponsible tear through this complex in their souped-up Hyundai's, practically shattering windows and disturbing me from my relaxing evening after working a 10-hour day.
I made friends with one of the fathers in this complex, and he told me that his two sons and their friends were threated by a man in a townhome with a shotgun because they were skateboarding at 3 in the afternoon. Do you know what the management did' They moved him to another apartment in the complex - shortly thereafter he was arrested for assault. Although, that is the only time that I can complain about a resident there, honestly.
The residents are probably the only thing that I can't find wrong with this place. Either they're very private and keep to themselves, or they're open and very friendly. Occasionally, someone will have a small, but loud fight, but not that often.
Regrettably, many of my neighbors are moving because they're converting - there goes the only good thing about this apartment complex.
Oh, and of course, residents like myself who have been there for 9 years receive no sort of compensation or credit towards buying a condominum there after 8 years of rent - not that I want to.
At least they've given me ample notice for my two roomates and I to find another residence.
