If you are thinking about moving in here don't.
I agreed to a 13 month lease after I was offered my first months rent for 300.00 The great rating this place had just a couple of months ago also swayed my decision.
As far as I am concerned, I was robbed by the office staff of this complex of $500. When I arrived, I had just spent 3 days driving 2200 miles with a 2yr old and was brain dead, hungry and exhausted. I made the mistake of signing my lease before remembering the 300.00 offer the next evening.
I approached the manager, Katie, the following day and explained the situation and asked for credit for the overpayment. I showed her 3 pages of notes from all the apartment complexes I had called. My notes contained details of the property, ameninties, PRICING and the person I spoke with.
Her initial response was that it depended on when they received my application and when the offer expired. When she sat down at her desk, before looking at any documentation at all, she stated that Sun King had not run that special for 4-5 months. Well then, why did I even know about it and WHY WAS THERE A SIGN OUT FRONT THAT ADVERTISED MOVE IN FOR 399.000 (99.00 deposit).
She then informed me that they did not run that special on the two bedrooms because they had a waiting list. I called, inquired, applied and was approved no waiting required.
I asked to speak with Alleaha (sp') the staff member who had told me about the $300. special and was told she was busy. When I came back I was told that Alleaha said that she had never told me that and that the girls in the office have a greeting for every phone call that mentions the 300.00 special for the one bedrooms and that I must have gotten confused.
No matter what they are not going to credit me the money they owe me. Yes I' angry and bitter but that does not color my description of the condition of the apartment.
INFESTED WITH ROACHES. Treated 3 times and still they dont die.
Dirty bathroom and Nasty kitchen. Still waiting for her to send someone to clean the stove like she said she would.
Partially burned out kitchen cabinet. The laminate is peeling off the cabinets and large chunks are missing.
Just discovered that many of the electrical outlets are DANGEROUS, heavier cords partially come out and if cords have those heavy boxed shaped ends they fall out. I can't child proof them, safety covers come out very easily.
And finally maintanance has come out twice to repair my ratty blinds but has only managed to fix one and says the other is fine but it is not. Replaced my cracked toilet with a smaller one but has not returned during the past week to paint the newly exposed wall area that is 2 different colors.

To the review above I have never gone on this site before but I was looking for a apt for a realtive and happened to read your review and take it from someone who has been on both sides I was a resident and then I started working there which was the worst mistake I have ever made. There is no speach that is given when you call and the office staff will do what ever to get there commission that is all you are you to them. They are the most fake cold hearted people in that office and they dont care about anybody except themselves and if you have a family or children forget. The roof leaks and the mgmt is to cheap to get the roof fixed correctly. So I totaly agree with this review and that is why Katie has been the manager there for 16 yrs because that all she can do is take peoples money and treat them like dirt.

To the manager we both no what goes in the Sun King office and I have several names will please tell me them because the one I know is the on ss card and birth cert. etc. You can talk down about me all you want but all i can say is thank you because now I have a great position with a great company and I dont have to worry that my family with young children was going to be thrown out on the street. I am also not going to put your apartment community down but like I said before we both no what goes on there. Need I say more.

The above employee we are unsure of her real name as we found out she has several. She was terminated from her job and now has bad feels towards Sun King. So with that said we should have to say no more.......
