So far, so good

Like the last reviewer, I found Sunscape through this site before moving here from across the country. It had the best rating to price ratio, and the reviews were wacky, but seemed legit (unlike a lot of reviews on this site). I moved here in August and got a seasonal discount, which meant I got $50 off the rent and only paid a $50 deposit.
My girlfriend and I were amazed at how clean the apartment was when we moved in. It seemed like the staff replaced all the carpeting and painted and cleaned the entire apartment. The interior is a little dated but very simple and clean. My only complaint would be the thin windows that let in a lot of noise and heat. The high ceilings are a very nice touch, but make the AC work a little harder.
The grounds are very nice and I haven't heard of any safety issues aside from a car being broken into, but thats a problem anywhere in the Phoenix area. The southeast apartments, where I am, are probably the noisiest because they border Osborne and Hayden. I'd suggest trying to get an apartment bordering the golf course, if possible. The pools have always been very clean and are rarely used, for some strange reason.
I haven't had any reason to deal with the staff, other than having a problem with our oven, which was fixed promptly. The staff all seem pretty friendly and are taking care of business. As far as the other tenants, they seem to be mostly college-aged and mostly girls. Everyone seems pretty friendly and no one makes too much noise.
My lease is up next month and I'm pretty sure I'll renew it. Since I've had such good luck here, I'll probably stick with Sunscape until I'm ready to buy a house.
