Desert Shadows Is Disgraceful

I can back up most of what the last poster has said. The management has gotten even worse than it was before and I have been here for a very long time. The management is rude when you walk into the office and they told one of my neighbors she had 5 days to get the hell out of her apartment which isn't illegal. Apparently, now that this place has been sold the management is doing whatever they can to force people to leave.

At least 3 of my neighbors were sent notices that they had to move their cars and park someplace else so they could install palm trees in front of their covered spots. The notices were given the same day instead of the standard 48 hours we had before. Who has ever heard of a palm tree being planted at night'

The old guy in the office is a total jerk and treated me and my roommate rudely when we went in to the makeshift office to pay the rent. Even though we had a receipt showing we paid the rent we get a notice 2 days later saying we had a week to move.

The new manager is young and inexeperienced and has no regard for the residents needs. The management has changed several times and this one is the worst yet. If you are going to buy or rent one of the new condos (it still says luxury apartments)in this place, I would run away and pass on this place.

The appliances are old, the buildings are at least 20 years old, and things always seem to leak. They have yet to fix our dishwasher even after several maintenance requests to do so. Our toilet always runs because the handle is busted and they have not fixed our bathroom sink in the last year.

It seems like the management is doing whatever they can to get residents to move. They have had cars towed from their assigned spots and have raised the rent so high that residents are starting to move. If you dispute a mistake that management has made, you end up getting an eviction notice soon after complaining. Two of my neighbors have already received notices to vacate even after paying their rent.
