We rented a condo from the Edge it was privatley owned by an investor who owns 4 other units in the complex. We have been paying our $1500 rent every month on time to the management company Trillium who then forwards it to the owner...he however has been pocketing the money and is being forclosed on, we are foced to move out before our lease is up and the management company has not only been unhelpful they have been downright rude about it, threatening us that they will still go after us for the remainder of the lease even if the sheriff evicts us after the forclosure! I had to research my rights and this information is completly false, the lease becomes null and void upon foclosure but good lick getting your security deposit back or any prorated rent that you paid. They are supporting this fraudulant behavior while the owner commits fraud stealing the mortgage companies money! And then to add insult to injury they offered to "allow" us to move into another unit that is still owned by Trillium with the understanding that it is for sale and if someone buys it we would have to move again, like moving with 2 children is something you can afford to do every couple of months! BTW they will not compensate you for any of the moving costs! And yes I witnessed the SWAT Team close in on a unit as per the other post! I was walking to the office and fully unifromed cops with machine guns and face masks surrounded the unti, I've never felt more like I was in a war, I ran back to my rental!

I heard another similar story about a family renting a privately owned condo, which was managed by Trillium. The owner defaulted on his mortgage and these people were told they had less than a week to move. When they inquired about their deposit, Trillium told them they weren't sure they would get their deposit back, and would call them with answers [which they never did]. Deposits are NOT paid to the owners, they are held by TRILLIUM, as the management company. This company is SO unprofessional, so illegal, it is ridiculous. Trouble is, trying to get your deposit back will force you to file against Trillium, who is going bankrupt at any time now. I feel bad for all the people this company is screwing at this property. The Lofts At Grayhawk used to be a pristine community until Avenue and Trillium bought them up to convert to condos. Now it is a slum and a dump, all due to their gross mismanagement. It's a shame.
