My husband and I have lived here for about 7 months now and can't wait to leave. We moved into the area not knowing anything about complexes and had to set it up from Las Vegas. Little did I realize there are THOUSANDS of other apartment complexes all in this area that are 10x better than this place.

First, this place is GHETTO. Shopping carts by the dumpsters' Yeah, that's the definition of ghetto I think. Plus, along with everyone, this place is seriously Little India. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but when you have 6 guys in an apartment with no furniture, that's just weird. Plus, they are always looking at me when I'm walking around or at the gym. I definitely do not feel comfortable.

Second, if you want to share your apartment with bugs, move on in. When it's not roaches, it's ants. And we're not messy people.

Maintenance has actually been pretty responsive to us. My only problem is that they have the landscaping crew come at 7:50am. Some people work late shifts and this is the only time they have to sleep. Give me a break. The beeotchy lady from the office finally quit so now the office staff is pretty cool.

I have to agree with the previous review about kids. They're always riding their bikes haphazardly in the middle of the road waiting to get killed.

If you want your alignment on your car wrecked, go ahead and try going over their speed bumps in the parking lot. They are ridiculously huge.

Honestly, look around, you can do better. The Highlands sucks. k6tKKzmJrmATU2ap682S

So glad to hear the beeotchy lady at the office quit! Look out for hidden move out costs too! I don't know where they dug up the manager, but she's very unprofessional. Your words were our nightmares once too! Good Luck ~ Scottsdale is a beautiful city, too bad these apartments are run by a bunch of idiots.

I am about to move in here and just looked at the reviews....and am now realllly worried!!! Is it really that bad? I am not from the area (Chicago) and so I have not been able to see the place. My boyfriend and I will only be there for 6 months...do you think we can handle it for just the short time?! Otherwise where else can we look??? HELP!!!

@eph8: for 6 months, you should be fine. It also depends on what apt you get. The one I lived in had recently been redone so it looked decent. I've heard from others though that some of them look way old. I'd moved from Vegas to this place without ever seeing it too and it wasn't AWFUL but I knew I didn't want to renew. If you still have time to look I would check out the Alexan apts or maybe Ventana. They are almost next door to the highlands.
