I am currently living here, and just signed a lease for a second lease term. Since then, this place has gone down-hill. I've spoken with several neighbors who feel the same way.
An example: Over Labor Day weekend, we had a car stolen one night, and then an ATTEMPTED MURDER the next night. Yea, the people responsible for the violence were evicted, but tells you where things are going.
The responsiveness of the office to any issue is sub-par at best. After the violence over Labor Day weekend, I told the office that what I wanted to be able to feel safe here would be over-night armed security. What do we have' Nothing more than we did, just an agency that comes out and locks the pool and comes over for non-emergency complaints like "Tell my neighbors to quiet down."
In short, this place will wine you and dine you until you sign the lease. Then, you're SOL. I am actually working with a lawyer to get them to uphold the "no parking in the firelane" signs. I can't get out of my assigned parking space when someone parks in the firelane behind me, but they won't do anything to get them to move. And of course, the tow company won't respond unless it is the office manager to call and request the tow. I have asked multiple times for them to do something about this, and they directly told me "no, we will not make someone move, nor will we tow them." They went on to say that I need to park somewhere else. I have a two-year-old, and she "helps" unload the groceries. Why should I walk accross the complex with a two-year-old in tow unloading my groceries, when someone else is too lazy to park in a designated parking spot' Oh, because the office doesn't want to uphold their duties. So, if you're coming and going, feel free to park in the red zone, you won't get towed.
