I have lived here with my boyfriend for 2 years, our lease is up soon and we are looking to move. There are only a few complaints i have with the place but they are bothering me enough to want to move. The office is only open M-F 9-5. Since those are my (and most people's) working hours as well, I can never get to the office for anything. That means I have the hardest time picking up packages, talking to the manager, getting maintence help on weekends etc. The laundry facilities are horrible. The machines are constantly broken, usually water is leaked on the floor or the machines put holes in your clothes. They are always crowded and people remove your items if you do not sit and watch them (again because half the machines are broken) Also the wash machnes are very small and the dryers dont work well if you fill them more than half way, so the $1 to wash and $1 to dry does not get you very far. I have been bringng laundry to my mom's house so I dont have to deal with this anymore. We have had roaches in our place, I blame this on the dirty people that lived next store to us, after they moved out their place was sprayed and all the bugs came over to our unit. There are tons of unsupervised children everywhere and the people that live here are low class. Our neighbors had their window broken twice in 3 months from kids paying baseball. Also the appliances and fixtures are very old and break quite a bit. So far we have had our bathtub faucet fixed twice, the leak above fixed once, our kitchen sink is still waiting to be fixed.
The good things about this place are: No assigned parking, I like this because there is always plenty of parking and our guests can park anywhere they want. Maintenece usually fixes things quickly (though sometimes incorrectly) Very large patio and storage area and very cheap rent. However they have been raising the rent on us quite a bit each time we sign (10-11% each year) We finally decided that with the large rent increases, even in a slow economy, we could find a better community for around the same price. Pretty quiet for the most part, really good location.
