A decent place, as far as apartment communities

I've read some of the reviews below, and while I don't know the truth of what they've said, I have to add that we have not had any difficulties here. We lived at San Cervantes in Chandler for two years, and then moved to the Tradition, to be closer to our offices. My husband and I have never had any real problems with either community.
It sounds like some of the people below just have a problem with living in an apartment, period. You can't expect that living in an apartment community is going to provide you with a completely hassle-free existence --- it just comes with the territory of living in a multifamily complex.
We have an upstairs neighbor that we hear walk around on occasion, or vacuum, but that's to be expected. If you don't want to hear your neighbors, go rent or buy a house.
When we first moved here, the pool was a little wanting in the cleanliness department, but they have since worked to make it better, and it is generally spotless now. They've changed out all the pool chairs and tables for new, and we have no complaints there.
On the very few times we've had to put in a maintenance request (for normal things like a slow drain, or a new filter) they've been very quick to do it, and always follow-up with a phone call to make sure it was done.
Insects have not been a problem -- we generally request the exterminator to come every few months, to make sure we're covered, and we've not had a problem with insects beyond the occasional stray!
Our apartment was spotless upon move-in, and we've never been bothered with loud neighbors.
Yes, the gates have been a bit of problem on and off, but again, no complex runs perfectly, all the time. Gates really aren't much of a deterrent to anyone that really wants to get in anyway, so if someone is relying on that to keep themselves secure, they should probably think about that concept again.
We've enjoyed our stay here and will probably re-up at the end of our lease.
