NOT PET FRIENDLY/ONLY IF YOU WORK THERE

I relocated from California and had to pay rent for a whole month before I moved here. They knew I had two Kids (dogs) and to just fill an apartment, they put me in a section that never had pets before, just for a few months before I got here. All my neighbors are cool with the little ones, but the manager, Trisha, moved her best friend in across from me in another building and thats when things got nasty. I lived here three months, no complaints from my neighbors about my dogs barking until she moved in. Needless to say I called the managers bluff, pissed her off and now I get served a 10 day notice along with a demand to put my dogs in a kennel in my house, their house, for 10-12 hours a day and told to get a shock collar for their necks. I have had my babies for 16 years and never had a complaint from anyone, until we moved into this dive. We will let the courts decide, cause I'm filing a lawsuit against not only Tricia, but Jeff Gaines the Management Company in San Diego. If your smart you will stay clear of a place that has nothing better to do but harrass you, and they are the ones that picked my apartment and put me in it with two dogs. All they care about is the all mighty dollar and tenents are on the bottom of the list.

Wow ! Sounds like someone is just bitter about not following the rules and regulations and realizing they are not a good pet owner if they live in an apartment with 2 dogs and leave them alone for " 10 - 12 hours." You should not only get evicted for not following the rules but also have a talk with the Humane Society. Maybe you just need to grow up and start taking a little responsibility for yourself and your " kids". I don't know .. just a thought.

Thank goodness someone complained - we have been annoyed by your obnoxious animals - had to close up our apartment to not hear them at all hours. I agree with aptlivin - you shouldn't be in an apartment with two dogs. I am a great lover of dogs - but refuse to get one until I have the appropriate space for them to run and play - certainly NOT an apartment. My recommendation - grow up and face the music

you guys are -------s and dont know what ie means to be a pet owner! Some people CANNOT afford to purchase a house with a big yard and that DOES not mean they are bad pet owners. I have 3 dogs under 5 lbs and we live in a house but will have to move to Scottsdale soon and would never consider living here now! My 3 are the most spoiled pups you will ever know and they dont even like a big yard that we have for them now! They like to be in bed with us all day AND for your information if I left them outside they would get eaten by a javelina, coyote, etc so although we have a big yard we dont utilize it other than for them to go to the bathroom! AND when we did live in an apartment 3 yrs ago they actually like it better bc they got to go on WALKS! I think that aptliving and rentin need to grow the hell up! aptlivin: to some ppl that CANNOT have kids, theyre dogs are their "kids" as you would quote to make fun of and rentin567 you are IGNORANT for thinking that the only way a dog can run and play is with a house. God is watching you 2 for picking on someone with dogs.

Personal feelings about the best way to raise pets aside - this place is truly not pet friendly at all. They don't try to house pet households near each other, rather noisy dogs are all over the complex. Worse, they charge an exhorbitant NON REFUNDABLE deposit for pets and then also charge a monthly pet rent, which is ridiculous. I considered getting a pet recently myself and decided against it once I became familiar with the policies and fees of the management.
