My husband and I have lived here 3 years and we love it! We live on the newer side of the complex and from what I understand, it is much better than the old side (so be aware of that when you are reading the reviews). For one, the walls, floors, and ceilings, in the newer ones are unbelievable sound proof, just the windows and doors are thin. We live right by the pool in the main courtyard and there are times when it gets loud at night, but we turn the fan on and we can't hear anything after that. Our neighbors blast country music all afternoon and we can only hear it when we come up the stairs, once in our apartment we hear nothing! We are totally impressed with the beautiful area and with how well kept the complex is. We have had absolutely no problems with bugs, neighbors, or the neighborhood. I have never felt so safe in an area in my life and we have recommended the complex to many friends. All of our friends that live here, are also happy here. When we moved in, the staff was awesome and we actually became friends with some of them but there is a fast turnover rate and the management has really gone down hill. With every new team they seem to get less and less friendly and capable. For the first 2 years, every maintence request we have had was answered the very same day we put it in! Now however, it takes 2-3 days and the maitnence crew usually leaves a mess for you to clean yourself. Our biggest complaint is that there is not enough guest parking and you only get one assigned spot per apartment, so my husband would usually have to park far and make the trek. Then when we'd have guests over, they would have to drive around for awhile before they found a spot. But I'd say that after living here for 3 years and having that be our biggest complaint means it is a pretty great place to live. The rent has gone up considerable in the last 2 years, but it seems to match the average price trend in the area. However, with the management quality going down and the prices going up, things might not look so great at Via Ventura in the future.
