The pros:
1) safe, quiet area
2) 2 shopping centers close by, each with a grocery store and a great selection of restaurants
3) no problems with neighbors, they've been quiet and friendly
4) no bugs
5) attentive staff that addresses any issues that come up in a timely manner. When my A/C unit died, it was replaced with a new one within a very short period of time.
The cons:
1) my rent went up nearly $100 a month when I renewed my lease. (hey, it's Scottsdale)
2) some of the exercise equipment needs to be upgraded in the weight room
3) if you don't have a covered parking space, it could be a long walk to your Apt. Not convenient if it's late at night and you have lots of stuff to carry
4) The floorboards are in dire need of repair in my Apt. It's the worst in the living room, I live on the 3rd floor so I feel sorry for my downstairs neighbor, they hear a lot of squeaking.
5) fixtures and appliances need to be upgraded
To their credit, the Management is taking steps to improve the place. If it wasn't for the higher rent and squeaky floorboards, I'd consider staying.

It is a nice complex. Unfortunetly rent is drastically going up everywhere in this location. Rent increased up to $400/month in some units and continue to increase. When is it going to end:(
