Ahhh just ok. a year at casa....

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
I have lived at Casa de la Sierra North for 1 year. I am getting ready to move out. When i moved into the apartment, i immediately put in work orders, because we discovered a water bubble in our wall in the living room about hte size of a volleyball. a piece of the plastic baseboards beneath the cabinet is missing. the front door had no weatherstriping. and my roommates door was too big for the door frame cause it to stick, difficulty closing, and often loud noises when it did open or close. Of those things they put weatherstriping on our door, and since then we had a difficulty with the door not latching closed all the way, and being forced to slam it closed (sometimes repeatedly) in order to get it to lock securely. My roommate called and the maitenance team came out immediately to fix it, and got it fixed immediately. However since the weather striping was added we have not been able to lock our deadbolt when outside of the home. we lock it when we are both over, but often times we have to push hard against the door to turn it closed. and have had numerous issues getting the door to unlock from the outside. that has not been fixed. my roommates door has not been fixed, the base board has not been fixed, the water bubble in our wall has not been fixed, the water damage to the ceiling of out bathroom (which also bows in) has not been fixed.
our heater has broken 3 times, they have fixed that in a timely manner. The walls are very thin.
when we moved in a man came into the office having only lived there for one month, and already the long hallogen light in his kitchen had gone out. the office made him pay to replace despite the fact that he was only there for a month and clearly wasn't the one who got the majority of use out of the bulb. not exactly fair'!
They have gone back and forth yes to pets, no to pets, yes to pets. and changed the office hours every month. we have had several managers.
all and all we have had some issues with the apartment complex, and other times they have been awesome. i don't know if i would call the place hell. its really just ok. not the best apartment complex, but not the worst.
no i personally wouldn't move back in but a major part of that factor is issues with other tenants, along with the noise, and the fact that it situated in the middle of a speed trap. None of which the complex could control.
the last year to me has been an interesting adventure. it wasn't bad for a first apartment. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ
