Too small, pricy and no air

I lived in a "one bedroom" apartment for 2 years with my husband. One bedroom is a joke though - it didn't have a door, just a wall dividing the sleeping area from the living room. Just the same as a studio, but with a one-bedroom price tag.
We had problems with the lack of windows. There was 2, but since they were on the same wall, we never could get relief from having the windows open. Count on running the A/C a lot.
We also had problems with the rain. It wasn't our roof that leaked, but our wall. It somehow seeped through the dining room window and rotted the wall. Mold also grew. Multiple complaints resulted in nothing, but thankfully we got our full refundable deposit back.
The carpet is a light beige and it will get dirty really fast, despite what you do. I'm happy that my new apartment has dark brown carpet... no dirt stains!!
Parking... we were in the worse spot of the entire complex. We had 4 slots near our apartment and you counted your blessings if you were able to park there. Even if we wanted to pay $10 for the covered lot, there was none near our apartment door.
I saw two car break-ins while I was there. The first one was my own car - the back door was found opened. I know we locked it and it wasn't driven since that morning. If it was us that left the door open, the battery would have been dead by 11pm that night. So we were left with the conclusion that it was broken into. Thankfully I don't keep anything in my car except for a few CDs and trash, so nothing was stolen. We suspect that the alarm went off and scared them away.
The second time was shortly before I moved out and saw our downstairs neighbors have their driver's window bashed in. I don't know if anything was stolen. But car break-ins seem common for that complex. Maybe it's because they're just across the street from a bar.
Beware that there's a huge bee problem too. They started getting in our apartment through the damaged wall. I believe that they built a hive in the drain sprout next to our dining room window. Can't ever leave your front door open for extra cool air.
