(06/18/07) I have lived here for three years. In this time the complex has gone downhill. The plumbing in the buildings is antiquated at best. The upstairs toilet leaked last week and caused the downstairs ceiling to sag. I have had maintenance over several times to fix leaky faucets that keep leaking. My upstairs toilet broke last year and the maintenance guy did not fix it correctly so now it takes three attempts at flushing the toilet to get it to flush. My AC has gone out 4 times in the last month. That was two nights and days with No AC in over 100 degree weather. The kitchens are small and have little to no storage space. There are airplanes constantly flying overhead you can hear them no matter what you do. The complex is open so anyone can walk in from the street. People have had their apartments broke into and have been assaulted in this complex. Last Friday I had some strange person pounding on the door at 11:00 pm demanding that my spouse and I open the door and provide him a ride back to his motel. This person they seemed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Needless to say we did not open the door; however the occurrence of this type of event is becoming more frequent. In January of 2006 I found someone who did not live here trying to steal my laundry from the dryer. This happened because one of the other tenants left the door to the laundry room propped open.

This goes into my description of the neighbors. The people that live behind us play their music so loud it shakes the walls and when we called police they retaliated. There are many dog owners in this complex that do not clean up after their dogs. Right now you can walk outside and all you smell is dog waste. The dog mess has caused another problem flies, every time I open the door to the apartment I now have to contend with flies. The flies also get in by also crawling underneath the gaps on the bottoms of the doors. By the way managment does nothing to make the people who own dogs clean up after them. I for one am in favor of banning dogs from apartments because of irresponsible dog owners and I love dogs. The area around the complex has been declining. There are homeless people who walk through the complex and dumpster dive through your trash and sleep in the park across from the complex. There are hookers and drug addicts in the area as well.


This is an addendum to my 06/18/07 post. The people in this complex are rude and ill-mannered. New neighbors have moved in the apartment behind mine and they sound like a herd of elephants. The apartment next-door is being occupied by someone who plays his stereo so loud that the floors of my apartment vibrate. Then two nights ago some drunken skanky bimbos were in their car honking the horn at 12:00 am on a Thursday right outside my bedroom window. This is so wonderful when you have to be up and 6:00 am to go to work the next day. I went to tell them to knock it off and was treated to a barrage of profanity. I can't wait until my lease is up so I can get away from here.

I would advise against living here or anywhere near downtown Tempe or ASU the neighborhoods are filled with bums, criminals, or drunken snotty college students

(08/15/07) Do not let the trees fool you I advise doing your research about the managment Company as well. Be very very careful and fully inspect what will be your apartment BEFORE YOU SIGN YOUR LEASE. Also word of warning just found out that we have registered sex offenders in the neighborhood. This area just keeps getting worse.

09/07/07 Well the AC broke again. Its not cooling. We placed and request for emergency maintenance but they still have not shown up. Its getting hot in here and I fear for my cats. Things never stay fixed at this complex you can't rely on things that should work to work. Sometimes I may sound more than angry but considering what my husband and I have been through living here its understandable. The Arbors seems to be the closest thing to HELL imaginable. None of what I have mentioned is an exageration in fact there are many more bad things I have experienced here but then this review would be way too long. This is just a warning about this complex so that you will know what you are getting yourself into if you move here. Please do your research do not make the same mistake my husband and I did.
