I came here for school and what I thought would be a great complex is a nightmare. First off I pay $800 for a 1 bed 1 bath and that does not include any utilities! The apartments compare to that of university house that is half the price and is a gated community. Before I got into my lease one of my concerns was vehicle security. They said they have only had one or two incidences with cars getting broken into. My vehicle got STOLEN!!!..right outside of the apartment office. This is because the Cityscape is not a gated community. They claim to have a security guard patrol the area, but obvisiously that is worthless. Recently, they changed the heads of the fire sprinklers in every apartment. Two weeks later, I still have 4 holes in my ceiling with insulation falling out of those holes. The list could go on. This place was a rip off!!! Don't ever move here!!!!!!!!!!!

Why are you complaining about your rent amount? You agreed to it! Now you're pissed that utilities aren't included! You live in Phoenix! You're lucky it didn't get stolen sooner!

I'm sorry, but just because you live in Phoenix doesn't mean that your car is going to get stolen. I lived in that complex and saw multiple cars stolen and vandalized - and when I was living there they had promised all new residents that gating was on the way - it was in the original plan (though they are apparently too cheap now). Now I live in another non-gated community and there are no incidences of vandalism OR stolen vehicles. So Jesse74, you really are not right in generalizing so much. The place is falling apart and way overpriced. The management is horrible (nice, but not good at their jobs.) I do agree though, you shouldn't be complaining about the rent price - you did agree to pay it....

rentin 5467 FYI Phoenix ranks #1 in vehicle theft. Jesse74 is right on with his statement. Do what you can to protect your vehicle. Remeber layers of protection work best.

gated communities are a false sense of security, ANYONE can get in and out of those gates...
